Ms Marvel: No Normal - Volume 1

marvelKamala Khan is tired of being an ordinary girl. The 16-year old Pakistani girl from New Jersey can’t seem to escape her overbearing traditional Muslim parents and her boring life. Everything changes for Kamala when she sneaks out of her house one night for a party. After having a dismal time, Kamala decides to head home. On the way, a blanket of fog engulfs the city, knocking Kamala unconscious. When she finally awakes, her life is completely changed. Now she has been gifted – or cursed – with super powers. As she tries to rein control over her new powers, Kamala must also keep up the guise of being an ordinary teen, even though she is far from ordinary.

In this exciting new graphic novel series from G. Willow Wilson and Marvel
Comics, readers are introduced to a young teen that is relatable and
likable. If you aren’t familiar with any Marvel Comics, that is okay! Ms.
Marvel slowly introduces you into the world of Marvel Comics, without
overwhelming you.
