She makes it through the intense rounds of interviews only to find out the job is for a mistress to the powerful Rafe Palazzo, owner of Palazzo Enterprises. Rafe gives her a day to think about whether she wants the position or not, and she’s sent on her way, only to find out her mother’s near-terminal position has taken a turn for the worse. Her mom’s only in the hospital because Ari messed up, and her mother’s the one who paid the price. Is Rafe her savior, or will he take her with him straight to the depths of hell?

My first thought when hearing about Surrender was that this would be another 50 Shades. I was quite surprised to find that I was wrong. Ari has a backbone. She refuses to submit to Rafe even though everything is falling apart around her. I respected the character of Ari because she keeps standing. If you are looking for some hot erotica, you won’t find too much in this first installment in the Surrender series. This quick read will definitely surprise you and I wholeheartedly suggest you have the 2^nd in the series, Submit, ready and waiting when you finish Surrender. On a sidenote, if you like Surrender you will love Submit. Author Melody Anne steps it up a notch or two in Submit and will have you hooked! I can't wait to meet Melody Anne at the RT Convention this month!
