Spotlight: Loving Eden by T.A. Foster

Displaying LOVINGEDEN_BlogTour.png

Have you ever thought of packing up everything you own and moving halfway across the country?

I’m talking about leaving your entire life behind—friends, family, school—with no turning back. No? Me either, but that was before a week of spring break changed my life forever. Before I did something I never thought I’d do at twenty-two. Before I fell in love with Grey.

Sometimes happily ever after isn’t always what you think it will be.

Loving Eden is the sequel to Kissing Eden, which I reviewed earlier in the year. I highly recommend checking out both Loving and Kissing. They are fun reads and the characters are quite lovable.

About T.A. Foster
T.A. Foster once spent a monthlong spring break on South Padre Island, where she soaked in the Texas sun, beach, and learned what real Texas country music is. Sometimes fiction does spring from reality.

She grew up catching rays and chasing waves along the North Carolina Outer Banks and now resides in the state with her adventurous pilot husband, two children, and two canine kiddos.

T.A. has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. When she’s not chasing her two-legged and four-legged children or trying to escape for date night, you can find her reading, writing, or planning her next beach trip.

Beach Bound Reading

Summer Reading is over at my library and I am celebrating by  packing my bag full of books and heading straight to the beach. I haven’t packed my clothes yet, but I have been plotting what I’m going to read all week. I always take more than I can actually get through, because I never know what mood I’ll be in. Here is what I have for this short weekend getaway…
  • Up from the Grave by Jeaniene Frost (audio for the drive down and back)
  • Nice Girls Don’t have Fangs by Molly Harper
  • The Enchanted Land by Jude Deveraux
  • The Mistress by Tiffany Reisz (currently reading) from the TBR shelf
  • Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
  • Fool me Twice by Meredith Duran
  • Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews from the TBR shelf
  • A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux (currently reading) from the TBR shelf

What do you like to read on your vacations? Any recommendations?

Kissing Eden Review Stop

A while back I did a cover reveal for T.A. Foster’s Kissing Eden. The reason I signed up for the cover reveal was because the synopsis intrigued me. I knew this would be something I would actually read so I wanted to help promote it. The cover reveal received a lot of positive feedback from my followers. Glad to know that we have the same taste in books! Imagine my excitement when I was given the chance to read an ARC of Kissing Eden.

                                          Book Summary
Have you ever thought of taking a vacation alone? I mean step on a plane, check into your hotel, and lie on the beach completely and utterly alone. No? Me either, but then right before senior spring break I got dumped.
Something about break ups makes you do things you didn’t want to do, and try things you didn’t know you were capable of.

That’s how I ended up at the Palm Palace.
That’s how I met Grey.
That’s how my spring break turned into the most unforgettable week of my life

I originally thought this would be a full length novel, but I was surprised to find  out that it was shorter story. It always intrigues me to see how authors can create characters and storylines that hook the reader with a shorter amount of words. More often than not, I’m left with wanting more. Let me just say that after reading Kissing Eden, Foster has a superb talent for not only weaving storylines that draw you in, but for assembling a cast of appealing characters. This story could have easily been fleshed out to a full novel, but it was far from lacking. She did a great job with the limited length.

I found myself invested in Eden and Grey’s romance and their back stories. I thought Foster did a great job wrapping up their romance with all the chaos in their life. I’m definitely glad I read this light New Adult romance. It didn’t take me long and I walked away with a positive feeling. I will definitely be on the look out for more from this author.

Vacation Return!

I’m back!

Aren’t you lucky that I scheduled a couple of posts while I was away, so you are in withdrawals right now?

While I had an absolute blast, I didn’t get as much reading done as I wanted. I ended making a bet with BF that I could read 10 books on the trip. Well, I didn’t factor in all the rum I would be drinking....which was a lot. The end result is that I tackled 5 books.

Daisy Miller by Henry James
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
The Fight Within by Andrew Grey
The Boy Book (Ruby Oliver #2) by E. Lockhart
Demon Hunting in Dixie by Lexi George

I recently read the first Ruby Oliver book, The Boyfriend List, and I found that the 2nd installment was just as great. This is another book that had been on my TBR list for years!

I am very proud of myself because The Goddess Test has been on my TBR list for 2 ½ years. I love the story of Persephone and this book gets a lot of requests at my branch. I am intrigued to continue with the series. Do you have a favorite Persephone retelling?

Well, after being off work for 10 days, I must run and play catch up.

Oh, here is a video of when we went on a glass bottom boat ride and got a little bit more than we bargained for....

Vacation Time - My Beach Reads

See you later cold weather! I’m trading in this dreary winter weather for sand and sun! I’m off on a well deserved vacay with BF. We will be spending one glorious week on the shores of the Grand Bahama Island. Actually, it really isn’t cold where I live, but I still need this vacation. This is the first time I will ever be using vacation time. With my first full time job, I had a to wait one year before being awarded vacation time and on my one year anniversary I put in my notice for my current job. Though I was cut a check for the vacation days, I immediately started with my current job. Well, my one year probationary period is up, so me and the BF are heading South for the Winter and my e-reader is loaded down.

Here is what I’ve selected for my beach reading:

Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews

Iced by Karen Marie Moning

Demon Hunting in Dixie by Lexi George

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon

The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart

The Deception of the Emerald Ring by Lauren Willig

I doubt I will get all of these read, but I sure am going to try! Bon Voyage!
